Copper Canyon, in the Sierra Madre mountain range is 4 times larger than the Grand Canyon in the States. Actually composed of several large canyons that are narrower, deeper and much greener than the Grand Canyon. Most tours begin in either Chihuahua City or Los Mochis on the coast of Western Mexico across the Gulf of California from La Paz. We do offer connecting flights from most U. S. cities into El Paso or Los Angeles. The majority of our clients depart from Los Mochis.

Going from El Fuerte to Divisadero gives one the spectular views associated by going up 8,000 feet and over 94 miles of twisting railbed, fantastic bridges and many tunnels. El Fuerte dates from 1564 when establisted by the Spanish.
Divisadero, on the canyon rim enables one to view the canyon at the conflunce of Copper Canyon and Taraecua Canyon. If you have the time, walk to the bottom of of the canyon but remember, you have to go back to the top! Walking along the rim and the dense forests allows for amazing sights. The Posada Barrancas, what a view!
