Don't let St. Kitts' diminutive size fool you. Within its scant 65 square miles are found some of the most stunning scenery and interesting historical attractions in the Caribbean. See the 17th century citadel atop Brimstone Hill, sight of endless squabbles between the French and English. Take a catamaran cruise to powdery white-sand beaches. Or join an eco-tour into the rainforest where, with a little bit of luck, you might spy St. Kitts' very own green vermet monkey playing in the jungle canopy. In Basseterre, a mini-London, there's Piccadilly Circus to shop and a gingerbread version of Big Ben by which to check the hour.

St. Kitts and Nevis, like no other islands in the Caribbean, seem to embody a kind of lush tropical paradise usually associated with the South Pacific. The atmosphere here is palpably luxuriant, an intoxicating blend of sunlight, sea air
and fantastically abundant vegetation. At the center of St. Kitts stands the spectacular, cloud-fringed peak of Mount Liamuiga (pronounced Lee-a-mweega), a dormant volcano covered by dense tropical forest. And on Nevis, too, the ground rises upward into a cloud forest filled with elusive green
vervet monkeys and brilliant tropical flowers.
In addition the st kitts Scenic Railway National Tour will roll down 30 miles of narrow-gauge track the 10-car train will use the railway that was built in 1912 to deliver sugar cane from the plantation fields to the sugar mill in basseterre.
