Grenada -The Isle of Spice- is the largest of three islands, Grenada, Carriacou and Petit
Martinique, which comprise the Independent State of Grenada. From the world-famous Grand
Anse and other Carib-washed beaches up to the 2,756 foot high Mt. St. Catherine Peak, view a
varying topography of mountains, valleys and streams gloriously arranged to present some of the
most picturesque scenery in the world. All the islands are noted for their rich Amerindian
remains and Colonial artifacts. Both the St. George's - Grenada - and Carriacou Museums
emphisize this idea.
Grenada's sister island Carriacou is reachable with St Vincent Grenada Air (SVG), via Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Grenada. Carriacou is also reachable via The Osprey, a motorized catamaran that departs daily from Grenada.
Grenada covers 133 square miles, including Carriacou and Petit Martinique. It has a population
of approximately 96,000. St. George is still one of the most picturesque town in the Caribbean.
