Curacao

Part of the Dutch Caribbean,Located about 35 miles north off the coast of Venezuela this island is one-third of the ABC islands and between Aruba and Bonaire. Its Latin roots, which extend from nearby Venezuela, combine in a heady mix with the Dutch culture that dates back to the 17th century.
Spanish and Dutch in history, the people are friendly and outgoing speaking a mixture of Spanish and Dutch and their own Papiamento. With fishing, bowling, diving, horseback riding , tennis, squash there are plenty of day time activities. Curacao also allows gambling so the night life includes the opportunity to increase/decrease your net worth!

Although it does have its share of beautiful beaches, which are mainly located on the west of the island, it also boasts one of the most impressive and historic areas of the Caribbean. The western part of old Willemstad has been placed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and there are 765 protected monuments and sites in this area alone.

For those clients keen on a more lively holiday, Curacao will undoubtedly fit the bill with enough different activities to keep the most energetic person occupied for several weeks, such as deep sea fishing, golfing, hiking, jeep or canoe safari and more.

Divers cannot fail to be impressed with the island's underwater world where coral has grown on lava rock for centuries, creating beautiful submarine gardens and massive formations with plunging walls that extend deep into the sea.

There are more than 100 dive sites to choose from - 60 of these have been formally identified and 44 of them are equipped with chains - while divers can expect visibility to range from 60ft to 150ft.

A simply wonderful place for children, there is plenty to occupy even the most demanding youngster. There are eight museums, fascinating caves and parks to explore, while the chance to swim with dolphins adds that touch of magic for everyone.

Although the electric service is 110v, the cycles are only 50, so anything using a motor will run slower (clocks, razors etc).

Weddings, require a stay of 14 days beginning on a Wednesday, which is when the licence may be issued. One of the parties should be a resident of Curacao.

Electricity is 110v, 50 cycles converter time.

Weddings, one of the partners should be a resident of Curacoa plus about $167.00us.

BEACHES

With over 35 beaches like untouched gems, they dot the coastline one by one. From the idyllic Cas Abou to the laid-back, family vibe of Kokomo, their 'playas' are private coves that have all the space you need to get away from it all.

ART & CULTURE

Dive into a world of creativity on the world's most colorful island. Visit Serena's Art Factory free of charge and see how the famous Chichi® sculptures are made or enjoy the "Rooi Catootje", a museum that displays unique aspects of Curaçao's culture.

FOOD & DRINK

Taste a unique mix of flavors from around the world where the possibilities range from local pubs where everyone knows your name to a AAA Diamond Award winner for the largest variety of Sushi in Curaçao. Don't forget to grab a sweet treat, too!

NATURE & PARKS

Explore Curaçao's rich biodiversity and natural beauty. Hike through Christoffel Park with a rich variety of local flora and fauna. Or explore the Hato Caves, which were formed below the sea level millions of years ago.

SCUBA DIVING & SNORKELING

Go diving or snorkeling and meet the neighbors. Explore a small airplane wreck or a healthy coral reef. Look for parrotfish, puffer fish, trumpet fish, barracudas, sea turtles and numerous small reef fish around the coral heads.
