One of the great advantages of offering our TravelSafe Vacation Insurance program is that it covers many situations surrounding travel arrangements that are affected due to Hurricanes. Everyone saw the devastation and destruction created by Hurricane Charley last week. Fortunately, for all TravelSafe Policyholders that were traveling to areas within Charley's path, there is financial relief.

TravelSafe covers the following weather related situations:

Pre-Departure Cancellation - will reimburse pre-paid, non-refundable expenses if the trip is cancelled by the operator due to inclement weather. The traveler can also be reimbursed if their home has been made uninhabitable by fire, flood, volcano, earthquake, hurricane , or other natural disaster.* Post-Departure Interruption - will reimburse, less any refund paid or payable, for unused travel arrangements, plus the additional transportation expenses incurred to return home if your arrangements need to be interrupted for one of the above reasons.*

Travel Delay - will reimburse you for reasonable additional expenses incurred by you for hotel accommodations, meals, telephone calls and local transportation if you are delayed for more than 8 hours due to a natural disaster or closure of public roadways by government authorities due to adverse weather.
