Bonaire Wellness Connexions Annual International Sailing Regatta
Diving Sites BONAIRE'S NEWEST dive attraction unexpectedly arrived last month when the 60-foot Our Confidence, an historic ship, sank 55 feet without warning just west of the harbor in the capital city of Kralendijk. The vessel, which earlier this summer experienced problems with leaking, sank in an upright position with the top of the mast 22 feet below the surface. Fish and marine life have taken up residence in the clear water, creating a new dive site. Our Confidence began life as a Danish fishing boat, was used as a refugee transport ship during World War II and later became a Caribbean inter-island freighter. It was the first ship to bring aid to hurricane victims on St. Martin in the late 1990s.
